JupiterBike and Florida Polytechnic University Prove to be a Winning Team
Recently, JupiterBike sponsored a Capstone project with Florida Polytechnic University. It was our second time having this wonderful honor, and we couldn’t be more proud to be a part of breeding imagination and dream with real-world challenges for the students.
Using engineering and physical prototyping, the students work in teams to craft their creations. At the end of a two-month term, they’re required to display them in front of a panel of judges as well as distinguished guests and their peers during the Capstone Design Showcase at Florida Poly.
JupiterBike was beyond impressed with the three-wheel version of Jupiter-Bike that Chris Konow, Benjamin Brown, Luke Yerkey, and Wyatt Liptak put together. The winning project showcased their variant on the JupiterBike that still folded up small and was still ultra-portable at just 37 lbs. These brilliant innovators used CAD software and other mechanical engineering best practices to bring their vision to life.
We’re very excited to use this prototype as the starting point for our plans on mass production. Stay tuned for a three-wheel JupiterBike coming soon, and a big congratulations to the winners. We know they’ll go on to create even more amazing things!
